Experience Detroit
If you're attending TJS, join us for our annual
two days of pre-symposium fun!
We do something different every year.
A chance to see Detroit and build
friendships with TJS speakers and fellow attendees.
May 15 & 16 (Thurs & Fri) 2025
Business trips should include a little fun! And Detroit has a LOT to offer.
So, each year, TJS coordinates two days of leisure activities for speakers and attendees.
It's a great way to network in a relaxed atmosphere, get to know your peers,
and build memories.
Last year we visited the Henry Ford Museum, toured the Ford Rouge F-150 Factory, and spent a day at Greenfield Village.
This year, we plan to visit three locations* over two days:
Motown Museum - a visit to the home of Berry Gordy and the original 1959 headquarters of of Motown Records
https://www.motownmuseum.org/about/
Ford House - a guided tour of Edsel and Eleanor Ford's historic lakeside estate.
Detroit Institute of Art - With more than 100 galleries, DIA has one of the most expansive and significant art collections in the country. Definitely a must-see.
